New CEO of the Port of Rotterdam visits ERS in Hamburg

Hamburg, 12 April 2024 - A big visit to the ERS headquarters: last Friday, the ERS team welcomed the new CEO of the Port of Rotterdam, Boudewijn Siemons, together with his team: Matthijs van Dorn, Hannah Stelzel and Elianne Wieles.

The opportunities and challenges of connecting Europe's largest port were discussed in an open and constructive dialogue. Together with railway partners boxXpress.de and Hupac, who already offer numerous maritime and continental connections to and from Rotterdam, the possibilities for further expanding and strengthening the collaboration were discussed.

ERS Railways, which was founded 30 years ago in Rotterdam, plans to further stabilise and expand its connections to/from Rotterdam together with Hupac.

"We are very pleased about the visit from Boudewijn Siemons and his team," says Mathias Leiner, Managing Director of ERS. "The exchange with the Port of Rotterdam is very important for us to be able to fulfil the needs of our customers even better."
